I might need to think about what sorts of softwares I am going to use for the project as well. If I need to learn to use the software then I will do learn during winter holiday.
Before writing about the question I think my research is answering, it makes me very hard to answer in a sentence, honestly. I am still narrowing down my project and still thinking what I want to make or produce through this research project.
But, anyway I am writing about “The question I think my research is answering” now.

I mentioned before that I am a social networking service lover before. Well, I am using social networking service very well and it helps me to communicate with my family, friends in Korea and even anyone from any countries. It enriches my life a lot and I am using the social networking services everyday.
But I know there are many problems from using those services among younger people. For example. during the lecture, Dean shows us the Second Life videos and he talked about the problems from second life as well. Well, I think Second Life is a brilliant virtual world social networking service and it is amazing. We can do almost same thing as our real life. But there are the problems from ‘unreal’ life such as Second Life.

I haven’t use the Second Life yet but I would like to start the Second Life because I would like to know what’s going on in Second Life. I am a media student and I would like to work in the new media industry and the virtual reality is not a special thing anymore in these days. It is a common thing for us and even younger people. Maybe we are all living in the virtual reality in these days. Think about it. We use mobile phone all the time and we chat each other through Skype or other 3G devices.
The technologies will be improved and developed more, better and even quicker. And we have to accept all these technologies and technology world.
But we have to concern one thing carefully. That is us, Human Being. We have to consider that we are human being and we have to control the technology. Do not allow technology let control us.
If we use the technology wisely we can have enriched life but if not, we will be a slave of the technologies.
Since 2006, the Lonely Planet of Korean version was out of print in South Korea because it was too text-centralised travel guidebook for Korean travellers. They need more visual-centralised and handy travel guide that allows travellers to travel other countries much easier rather than bring books that have only short explanation with few photos about the location and they are not interactive with readers either. Many new technologies are changing our lives these days and why don’t we have the mobile travel guide videos that also allow us to interact with it as well? You just need a suitcase or backpack and your mobile phone for your travel. Your mobile phone will get everything about the place that you want to travel.

I just want to say I like social networking service such as cyworld or flickr. I am a big fan of flickr since 2005 I remember. I love taking photos and actually I had no space to put my photos rather than putting them into my external hard disk or i-photo on my computer.

After I use flickr I can store my photos in it and also I can share my photos with others who love photography. Also I can see others’ works and even I can join some groups that I am interested in such as I Shoot Film. I love new technologies and I use internet everyday but I don’t like digital camera. Well, I’ve got my DSLR and I know it is easy to import photos to computer and it is easy to shoot. I don’t have to worry about developing, film cost and etc. But I love film camera and I am using from 35mm to 120mm film cameras. Even though I am not a professional photographer and also I am not a photography student, I love photography as my hobby.
Anyway, so I shoot film all the time and I put them into my flickr account. I can see others photos and we can communicate with each other through making comments about ourselves’ photos.
Sometimes I get good comments and sometimes not. But I can say that I can improve my photography skill and even creativity for photography through flickr. THIS IS SO TRUE!
I can learn from some professional’s photography and I can even ask them some questions about the photography. Yes, they are not my lecturer or friends but we are ‘CONTACT’ in flickr world.
Also I’ve got very good opportunities from some websites and even ABC online news. My photo is used on ABC online news! and one of my photo was used for children’s book in UK as well. Some of my photos about Melbourne were also used for one of the travel websites in US. This is amazing and very interesting.
I didn’t approach to them but they sent email to ask me whether they can use my photos or not. Then I could get the amazing outcome such as ABC online news. Even though my photo is just small part of the report but where can I get the opportunity like this?
I love flickr and other social networking services because I can actually communicate with people from all different spaces and time. When I think about only good things of social networking service, I can totally say that I am a social networking service lover but I can see some bad points of social networking services.
I will talk about this later.
